Dear Valued Patients,
It is with a profound gratitude and a touch of bittersweet emotion that I write to inform you of my decision to retire from Wake Internal Consultants, effective October 1, 2025. After forty-two years of serving this wonderful community - thirty years at Wake Internal Medicine and having the privilege of being your physician, I have decided it is time to embark upon a new chapter in my life.
For more than four decades, it has been an immense honor and a true joy to care for you, your families, and often, multiple generations. I have cherished the relationships we've built, the trust you've placed in me, and the opportunity to witness your lives unfold. Each day brought new challenges and rewards, and I am deeply thankful for the privilege of being a part of your health journeys. Your stories and your unwavering trust have been the cornerstone of my career and have enriched my life beyond measure.
I understand that this news may come with questions regarding your ongoing care. Please be assured that ensuring a smooth transition for your medical needs is my top priority. I look forward to seeing many of you prior to my retirement and will continue to be available until the end of September. If you have not seen me this past year, then be reassured that you can contact Wake Internal Medicine and you will be established with one of my partners. I am working closely with my partners to ensure your continued access to high-quality care.
I look forward to my next chapter with anticipation. I plan to stay in the area, spend more time with my grandkids, travel and play Pickleball.
I want to extend my sincerest thanks for your loyalty, your patience, and the many memorable moments we have shared over the years. It has been an extraordinary privilege to be your doctor, and I will always hold a special place in my heart for each of you.
