Over the past couple of months, the Wake Internal Medicine Consultants, Inc. (WIMC) family has been growing with the addition of four new physicians. Dr. Marianna Law and Dr. Prashanti Aryal have become wonderful additions to WIMC’s gynecology department, Wake Women’s Health. In our internal medicine department, we are pleased to have Dr. Jessica Heestand join our team of internists. Our newest addition will be joining us October 1, 2015, Dr. Angela Hira. She will come on board to WIMC’s gastroenterology department, Wake Gastro. Dr. Hira will be the first female physician to join Wake Gastroenterology, which will provide unique gastrointestinal care for the needs of women.
Meet Our New Physicians
Dr. Marianna G. Law:
Dr. Marianna Law attended the University of Virginia School of Medicine and completed her residency at the University of Texas at Galveston. She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Law and her husband are settling in Raleigh to raise their family of three children, twins (boy/girl) and a daughter.

Dr. Prashanti Aryal:
Dr. Prashanti Aryal was born in Nepal and moved the United States at the age of 6. She received her Doctor of Medicine with honors at the University of Illinois at Chicago and completed her residency at the University of Washington, the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Aryal is married with two children. She is also multi-lingual, speaking English, Spanish, and Nepali.

Dr. Jessica Heestand:
Dr. Jessica Heestand attended the University of Texas Medical School at Houston and recently completed her residency top of her class from the prestigious University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is starting her career in medicine with WIMC. Since Dr. Heestand recently completed her residency, she is up to date with all the latest advancements with medicine. She is married and has a daughter.

Dr. Angela Hira:
Dr. Angela Hira attended the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She continued her training at Rutgers – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School for her gastroenterology fellowship. Dr. Hira has moved from New Jersey to North Carolina to begin her career in medicine with Wake Gastro. She is married and has one daughter.
