Women’s Imaging Services
Cardiovascular Testing & Monitoring: Echo, Carotid Doppler, Stress Testing
An echocardiogram is a type of ultrasound test that is used to examine the heart. A nuclear cardiology is an imaging modality that provides important information about the health of your heart. During a stress test, you walk on a treadmill to make your heart work hard and beat fast. If you have difficulty walking, you may be given medicine to increase your heart rate.
Radiology Services: Bone Density Testing (DEXA)
Dexa scan is the most accurate method for body composition analysis, which is approved by FDA. It quantifies your lean (muscle mass), total body fat percent and bone mass (to help identify osteoporosis).
The risk for metabolic disease increases if fat percent in men is more than 25% and in women if fat percent is more than 31%.
You can schedule for body composition test at our office to see if you may be at risk for metabolic diseases and discuss result with your doctor.
Radiology Services: CT, X-Ray
A CT (computerized tomography) scan, often called a CAT scan, is a painless examination that combines X-rays with computer scans which give your physician a detailed image of soft tissue, organs and bones. CT imaging is particularly useful because it can show several types of tissue — lung, bone, soft tissue and blood vessels — with great clarity.
Ultrasound: Vascular, Gynecological, and General Ultrasound
Ultrasound imaging has many different uses in today’s healthcare settings. Ultrasonography(Ultrasound) has been around since 1989 and has been one of the leading forms of medical technology in helping monitor women’s health issues. The ultrasound procedure involves using high-frequency sound waves to produce images from within the body. Ultrasound images can display the structure and positioning of the bodies internal organs.
Diabetic Retinal Eye Screening
Diabetic eye screening is a key part of diabetes care. People with diabetes are at risk of damage from diabetic retinopathy, a condition that can lead to sight loss if it’s not treated.
