Dr. Balladares is passionate about forming long-term relationships with his patients and guiding them through their healthcare journeys. Managing chronic illnesses, particularly diabetes, is one of his professional interests. Fitting in with the WIMC culture regarding the depth of the patient-physician relationship, Dr. Balladares finds Internal Medicine rewarding because of the intellectual challenges it presents and the opportunity it gives him to be a steady, trusted presence in the lives of his patient.
His care philosophy is centered around listening, educating, and providing evidence-based treatment to each individual. He is committed not only to providing outstanding patient-centered care, but also hopes to inspire a passion for primary care among future physicians through mentoring medical students.
Outside of work, Dr. Balladares can be found socializing with friends at pizza places, breweries, and playing pickleball or golf. He is a big fan of Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and video and board games.
