Dr. Carlson practiced at WakeMed Hospital AHEC prior to joining WIMC in 2000. He acted as a clinical instructor and now associate professor at UNC School of Medicine as well. He received awards including the Physician in Home Care Award from WakeMed Hospital and the Chairman’s Award in Internal Medicine from UNC Hospitals.
