The holiday season is right around the corner, a wonderful time of the year that we share with our family and friends. However, some families are not as fortunate throughout the year, especially during the holidays. According to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, more than 651,000 people in the central and eastern counties of NC are at risk of hunger and struggle to access nutritious food necessary for a healthy life. Wake Internal Medicine Consultants (WIMC) is hosting a food drive through November 24, 2015 to benefit the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. You may drop off your donations to the appropriate donation boxes in the WIMC lobbies. Donations will be delivered to the Food Bank just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday. Thank you in advance for your support in helping those in our community who are in need.
